To protect the wildlife and the reserve, a few simple rules apply on every After Dark experience.

Every animal you'll see is wild and living free — never in captivity. We choose places where your chances of seeing wildlife are high, but every sighting depends on nature and on the animals themselves. To protect them, a few simple rules apply:

  • No touching or handling animals

  • No feeding wildlife

  • No taking plants from the forest

  • No pets or domestic animals

GOOD TO KNOW

Important Information to Know

All times are approximate. This is Costa Rica — the weather, the roads and the forest set the pace, and we'd rather adjust than rush you.

100% personalized. This itinerary is our starting point. You choose the date and pickup time, and we shape the day around your group. Share your preferences at checkout and we'll reach out to confirm every detail.

Minimum 2 travelers. Private experience — just you, your group and your guide.

We don’t keep animals in cages, and we never will. Every sloth, owl or frog you see is wild and living free in its own home. We take you to the places where they’re most likely to appear, but in the end, nature decides. Every night is different, and that’s the magic of it.

Our policies, in short

CANCELLATIONS

  • More than 48 h

Full refund of the tour price

  • 24 – 48 h

50% refund of the tour price

  • Less than 24 h

Non-refundable, as are no-shows and unused parts of the tour

Please cancel in writing by email or WhatsApp with your name, number of travelers, date and tour. Your cancellation counts once we confirm we received it.

LATE ARRIVALS

Your guide waits up to 15 minutes at the pickup point. After that, we'll try to reschedule based on availability.

If rescheduling isn't possible, the full tour price may be charged. If we start late, we may not be able to complete the full itinerary, and missed parts aren't refunded.

WEATHER & CHANGES

Rain alone doesn't cancel a tour — it's the rainforest. If conditions are unsafe, we reschedule at no extra cost or give you a full refund of the tour price. Date or time changes are free more than 48 hours ahead, subject to availability.

HOW REFUNDS WORK

When a refund applies, we refund the tour price. Card processing fees and payment platform fees are charged by third parties and are not refundable. Refunds go back to your original payment method: we start the process within one business day of approval, and your bank usually takes 5 to 15 business days to show it.
